The Akron Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing education, training, research, and innovation in the treatment of upper and lower limb diseases. Our organizational philosophy centers on orchestrating educational events and offering scholarships and research grants to medical professionals and paramedical staff. These initiatives aim to enhance their skills and knowledge specifically in the realm of upper and lower limb diseases, with a primary focus on peripheral arterial disease, critical limb ischemia, venous insufficiency, deep vein thrombosis, podology, podiatry, diabetic foot syndrome, and wound care.

Our overarching mission is to proactively prevent limb loss and elevate the quality of life for patients.
