Prof. THEODOSIOS BISDAS
Founder and CEO
Dr. Theodosios Bisdas is the Founder and CEO of the AKRON Institute. He earned his degree in Human Medicine from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His training in Vascular Surgery commenced at the Clinic of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at Hannover Medical School. Following a research scholarship in the Department of Vascular Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine (NY, USA), he served as an Associate Professor for Vascular Surgery at the Center of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery in the University Clinic of Muenster. Since 2019, Dr. Bisdas has been back in Greece, assuming the role of Chief of Vascular Surgery at Athens Medical Center. With over 150 publications in peer-reviewed journals, he is a distinguished member of the Editorial Boards of various scientific journals. Dr. Bisdas has been honored with 5 national and international awards, including the Vascular Career Advancement Award in Las Vegas, USA, in 2015. Additionally, he holds positions on the advisory boards of several companies and is the founder of the e-learning platform Vascupedia.
Giovanna Lessi-Tzanaki
Co-founder and CTO
Mrs Lessi-Tzanaki is a renowned podologist in Glyfada Greece and co-founder of the Akron Institute. She is focused on complex podologic cases and has organized several educational events for podologists across Greece. Mrs Lessi-Tzanaki is the Course director of the master class in podology.
Marianna Filippidi
Chief Legal Officer
Mariana Filippidi is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in public, administrative, and commercial law. Currently serving as a Legal Advisor for the Ministry of Health, she provides legal support for legislative initiatives and pharmaceutical policy development. Since 2016, she has also worked as a self-employed lawyer, specializing in corporate law, civil contracts, and real estate, often collaborating with international clients through Greece's Golden Visa program. Her prior roles include legal consulting for Eurobank and the Greek Government, where she contributed to the legislative process and legal review of parliamentary work. Mariana holds a Master’s degree in Law and Economics from the University of Piraeus and a Law degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
